Blood dictates all
TARAK.
The debut novel by sage patel
Foreword
On Tarak, blood dictates all.
Way out on civilization’s rim lies a planet called Tarak, whose fiercely independent people are ruled by an enigmatic king. King Relaa has a supernatural ability, Sight, that makes even the Syndicate, the galactic government, tremble. For years this power has kept his people safe, and his planet free from Syndicate entanglements.
But some threats not even he can see.
Ehreo is a high-ranking Citadel agent—brave, determined, the best. Assigned to investigate a terrorist threat, Ehreo stumbles across a centuries-old prophecy that threatens to embroil both Tarak, and possibly the entire galaxy, in war.
Is Relaa as invincible as he thinks? Will Ehreo succeed, or will Tarak crumble from within?
The galaxy is going to war. Billions will die. How will Tarak intervene with its own rebellion secretly underway?

When I started writing, I didn’t know what the f*ck I was doing, and candidly I still don’t. But I’ve always been told I’m a good storyteller.
I grew up in the hospitality industry, working front desk to maintenance and eventually went to business school, twice. I dove deep into financial modeling and strategy but something always ate at the back of my mind in the wee hours of night staring into the abyss of a soon to be #REF excel spreadsheet.
Since I was a child I told myself stories to fall asleep. Eventually I wanted to write them down. With no formal writing training I opened MS Word and let my thoughts pour out of me and just kept going.
Tarak, my first novel, is my pride and joy. It will be a multiple book series with unlimited potential for future stories. I wrote this for those who find home in worlds beyond our own.
SAGE PATEL
The UNIVERSE
TARAK: It had one large continent in the northern hemisphere with thousands of smaller islands near its southern pole.
To the undiscerning traveler, the planet would look like an insignificant, unhabitable gaseous planet.
